Does this sound like your cat?
- Pee beside the litter box, on the bed, the bath mat or a pile of laundry.
- Scratches on the sofa, the doorframe or the stair carpet, even with a post nearby.
- Hissing, swatting or chasing: at another cat, the dog, or at you.
- Hours under the bed, a dash for cover at every sound, a cat you rarely see.
You’ve probably tried a few tips already. Many deal with what you see, not the reason behind it. That’s where the preview starts.
Why it often happens, in plain words
Cats like to feel in control of their territory: where they eat, sleep and go to the toilet, and who else is around. When too much changes or feels threatening, the glass fills up. A cat can’t tell you, so they show you.
Common drops in the glass
- A move, new furniture or building work
- A new pet or a new baby
- Someone moving in or out
- A cat outside the window
- A litter box that’s too small, not clean enough or in a busy spot
- Sharing the box, the food or the best resting spots with another cat
- Changes to your routine, like new working hours or a holiday
Peeing in the wrong place, scratching the furniture, lashing out and hiding aren’t spite. Often they’re a cat’s way of coping when the glass is full: the second page of the preview shows how.
The good news: once you know what’s filling the glass, there’s a lot you can change at home.

How the Felina method works
One clear method instead of a pile of scattered tips.
1
Read: understand the cause
Answer guided questions about your home and routine, and observe your cat for a few days. You’ll see which triggers fit your situation.
2
Reset: change the routine at home
Make practical changes one at a time: where the litter boxes, food and water go, how each cat gets their own space, when to play and when to leave them be.
3
Review: keep going and adjust
Note what changes, adjust what doesn’t work, and plan the weeks after. Questions along the way? Our team answers by email.
Who’s behind Felina
Felina is a new, independent project for cat owners who want to understand their cat and change things at home, without piecing it together from scattered advice.
We wrote one guide, The Stressed Cat, for four problems where stress often plays a part: peeing outside the box, scratching, lashing out and hiding. It starts with your vet, and it’s built on a review of the published research on cat behaviour.
Questions
Is the preview really free?
Yes. Press the button and the PDF downloads: no email, no payment, no card.
The behaviour started suddenly. Should I start with the preview?
No, start with your vet. Sudden changes can have medical causes, such as a urinary problem or pain. Once your vet has ruled those out, the guide helps you look at what’s happening at home.
Does Felina replace a vet or a behaviourist?
No. Felina is a practical method for owners who want to understand their cat and adjust the routine at home. It doesn’t diagnose anything. If your cat seems unwell, or things get worse, please see a professional.
How is this different from free tips online?
Free tips are scattered and often contradict each other. A behaviourist’s consultation is personal, but it costs more. Felina sits in between: one clear, step-by-step method you can follow at home, at a fraction of the cost of a consultation.
Will it work for my cat, and how quickly?
We can’t promise that, and we’d be wary of anyone who does. Every cat and every home is different. What we can promise is a clear method to work out what’s behind the behaviour and what to change, step by step.
I have more than one cat. Is this for me?
Yes. The preview and the full guide work in homes with more than one cat: another cat is one of the drops in the glass, with its own checks.
When can I get the full guide?
Soon. The Stressed Cat is written, and its launch price is €37: the full 14-day plan, with a track for each of the four problems, as a PDF and 14 daily emails. See what’s inside.
Do you sell anything for my cat?
Soon: Little Wins, our treats, and Felina Home, a plug-in diffuser, the things the guide uses at home. Neither is a medicine, and neither replaces your vet. See every product.
